The community tourism project came to life in our community "Esperanza" between 2013 and 2014. It was created with the support of the Italian non-profit organization Ayuda Directa, and it was developed to be handled directly and independently by men and women of the community.


By launching this kind of project, our aim is to satisfy needs like self-management, community monitoring, social and economic benefit. In addition to this we want to promote and give visibility to our traditions and our culture, which in an increasingly globalized world, are in danger of being lost.


By sharing our daily lives with tourists we trust in a mutual enrichment. For them, gaining knowledge of a lifestyle completely different from their own, for us, a higher possibility of self-determination and diversification of the local economy.
